Earth Day is a day that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s natural environment. The BBCC has participated in the Baton Rouge Earth Day event since its beginnings. Baton Rouge Earth Day is the largest outdoor event held in downtown Baton Rouge. It takes place on the third Sunday in April. Dozens of organizations and agencies have educational booths and activities designed to teach the community about environmental and conservation issues. The event is not only educational, but has wonderful food and music to entertain all those who attend.
